Venue: AHK Japan (Conference room “Tokyo”)

Based on the traditional idea of “lifetime-employment”, Japan has strict employment protection laws making it difficult for employers to end an employment relationship unilaterally. This seminar will not only outline the legal framework concerning termination of employment agreements in Japan but will also present strategies how to end employment relations in practice.

Topics will inter alia include:
-Dealing with typical issues (Low Performance, Illness, Harassment)
-Communication strategies and alternative methods of ending employment agreements
-What to consider when drafting settlement agreements

This seminar will feature Dr. Greg Story (Dale Carnegie Training Japan) who will demonstrate useful communication strategies and common pitfalls to avoid in the course of termination talks.
