About the event:

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is anticipating demand for investments of USD 22.5 trillion in the Asian infrastructure sector between 2016 and 2030.

Around 7.000 Japanese companies are already active in the ASEAN region with own facilities – and this globalization trend is still ongoing: Foreign Direct Investment in 2017 is estimated at 165 billion US-Dollar (+52% compared to 2012). Quite often German companies are preferred suppliers and partners for Japanese companies in overseas markets.

At the same time, German companies are increasingly recognizing the strategic importance of Japan and are seeking out more business with Japanese partners outside Japan or so-called “third markets.” 64% of German business in Japan is actively pursuing these business opportunities.

To support this positive development, AHK Japan is organizing a networking event in cooperation with the Overseas Construction Association of Japan (OCAJI).

This event will connect German and Japanese companies and give participants the opportunity to showcase their technology and solutions.
