About the event:

With a tradition going back 115 years, HDI Global has managed the transformation from insuring only the iron and steel industry in a highly regulated national market to now providing solutions for all sizes of enterprises, in all industries and businesses in every corner of the world. Dr. Christian Hinsch will talk about the challenge of increasing regulations and restrictions on cross-border trade from the perspective of a global insurer. Furthermore, Dr. Hinsch will describe that an ever more efficient and integrated production leads to increased business interruption loss exposure and higher frequency of natural disasters to larger losses after NatCat events.

Dr. Christian Hinsch has been HDI Global’s CEO for 18 years and is, after more than 30 years of experience, a well-known and respected expert in the insurance industry. Founded in 1903, HDI Global has always taken pride in being a true partner to its clients. With a revenue of more than EUR 4.4 Billion, over 60% being generated outside of Germany, today HDI Global with offices in more than 40 countries provides insurance solutions for enterprises of all sizes. Additionally Dr. Hinsch is President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lower Saxony and in this function serves on the Board of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK).
