"How to be outstanding amongst your job competitors"
Speaker: Dr. Greg Story, President, Dale Carnegie Training Japan
Overview: Job seeking is a zero sum game. You either win or you lose. There are best practices about how to stand out amongst your rivals and impress the interviewing team. This session will give you an edge and make you the winner.
------------------------
July 22
------------------------
"Legal and cultural differences between German and Japanese working cultures"
Speaker: Dr. Tobias Schiebe, Lawyer, ARQIS Foreign Law Office
Overview: Although Germany and Japan share many similar characteristics and values, such as reliability, punctuality and accuracy, working styles have developed differently. While in Germany and other European countries the self-determined employee and flexible working structures are generally seen as future model, in Japan employees are often working in a fixed setting and strict organization. This seminar will highlight main differences in the working cultures of the two nations from a legal as well as cultural perspective. Participants will gain an overview on what to expect when working in a German-style working environment.
