About the event

The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (AHK Japan), the German Consulate General Osaka-Kobe, and the Japanese-German Business Association (DJW) are pleased to welcome you to our first “German Economic Roundtable” networking event in 2019.

Our presentations this time will be about “Digital Transformation”. With impressive recent advances in IT technologies - like artificial intelligence and IoT – most organizations are now considering how digitalization will affect their business models. What needs to be done in order to benefit from technological progress? We are proud to announce two speakers on this topic, who are both experts in implementation, shaping the digital future of their clients:

  • Soichiro Murata, Director, Internet of Things / Fourth Industrial Revolution at SAP JAPAN and author of the recently published book “Why Digital Matters?
  • Daniel Kastl, Co-Founder of the startup GEOREPUBLIC with offices in Munich and Kobe, offering geolocation and logistics services as well as open-government applications.

The presentation will be held in English, with an optional interpreter around for questions in Japanese. After the talks there will be a German style buffet reception with 2 hours of networking time.

You are welcome to register additional persons (must have a business related background, max. two participants per organization). Registrations are handled on a first come, first served basis.

The registration deadline is: Tuesday, March 19th, 2019.

We look forward to welcoming you on April 4 – Please do not hesitate to contact us if any questions arise.
