Best Practices & Japan’s Work-Style Reform Legislation
Topic: Flexible Working Hour Systems 2.0
Time & Date: December 6 (Thu.), 16:15 – 19:00
Location: AHK Japan
About the Roundtable:
Overtime remains one of the most sensitive labor law topics in Japan and is also a major part of the work-style reform legislation (hatarakikata kaikaku) that will gradually come into effect starting next year.
Limitations on overtime work for major corporations will come into effect on April 1, 2019, and for SME on April 1, 2020.
At the first roundtable we have looked at (the slides are available here) flexible working hour schemes from a legal perspective regarding flexible working hour systems and participants broke out into group discussions after that.
We have received a lot of positive feedback and people asking for a follow-up event during and after the event.
This time, we will have a more focused introduction on overtime limitations under the new work-style reform and will have a closer look at three flexible working hour systems that are already in use today by German organizations.
