This roundtable aims to provide a regular platform to exchange insights and experiences on HR related topics and is only open to CEOs & HR representatives of our member companies.

About the event:

HR related matters are one of the core topics of German companies in Japan: 3 out of 7 top challenges identified in “German Business in Japan 2018” - the annual business climate survey of AHK Japan – are HR related.

This time’s roundtable is about educating participants about labour compliance improvement at their organizations.

The first theme of the seminar is the Workstyle Reform Act and its associated revised laws, which have come into effect since this April 1 in stages. They are composed of three main pillars: 1. establishment of a legal upper limit on overtime working hours, 2. equal pay for equal work, 3. enhancement of flexible working hour system. We will particularly update participants about which documents to prepare to cope with the revision and at which timing each regulation will be applied by company size.
