AHK Japan had the pleasure to welcome the German Ambassador Dr. Hans Carl von Werthern as a special speaker for the working group "Young Leaders Forum" on November 22, 2017.
"Why Ambassadors? The Role of Diplomacy in a Globalizing World"
This was the main question Dr. von Werthern focused on during his one-hour talk. During his explanation, the audience was asked to ask questions at any time. This way it was possible for all members of the Young Leaders Forum to engage in a lively and interesting dialogue with Dr. von Werthern, who assumed his current posting as Germany’s Ambassador to Japan in March 2014. Dr. von Werthern joined Germany’s foreign ministry in 1984 and has since served, among others, in Vietnam, Paraguay and China.
The Young Leaders Forum is a platform for young professionals (up to 40) within the AHK Japan network. Everyone who wants to expand their network in the German-Japanese business community is welcome.
