Invest in Kyoto City: Promoting Foreign Direct Investment from Overseas to Kyoto City – Unveiling the attractiveness of “Kyo-Working”

・EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai is a great opportunity to promote the attractiveness of Kyoto City to foreign companies. By holding this event, METI aims to utilize this opportunity to illustrate the peculiarities and the attractiveness that Kyoto City has as an investment destination, while discussing the potential ways to promote FDI in Kyoto city.
・Based on the “Action Plan for Attracting Human and Financial Resources from Overseas” that was adopted in April 2023 by the Council for Promotion of Foreign Direct Investment in Japan, METI has established the goal of collaborating with the G7 Chambers of Commerce to strengthen the dissemination of information on measures for investment in Japan and collect requests from foreign companies.
・METI supports Kyoto City’s initiatives with respect to the Kyoto Technical Tour for FDI promotion, especially taking account of the present Government’s growing focus on regional revitalization.
