Symposium: Beyond the Hype: Making AI Work

  • Event

30 September 2026 | Symposium | Europa House

AI Symposium
European and Japanese Perspectives on Governance, Adoption and Business Value

AI is moving from experimentation to business reality. But how can companies use it effectively while managing legal, organizational and operational risks?

At “Beyond the Hype: Making AI Work,” European and Japanese business leaders and experts will share practical perspectives on what successful AI adoption looks like in practice.

The symposium will explore AI from different angles: corporate adoption and governance, the legal frameworks in Europe and Japan, risk management, responsible AI, and the people and organizational changes needed to make AI work. Speakers will bring real-world perspectives from finance, automotive and logistics, pharmaceuticals, HR, technology and professional services.

The afternoon will conclude with the executive panel “What Can Europe and Japan Learn From Each Other in AI Adoption?” Bringing together legal, corporate, technology and people perspectives, the discussion will examine how approaches in Europe and Japan differ, where they converge, and what companies can learn from both.

Whether your company is already implementing AI or still defining its approach, the symposium offers an opportunity to gain practical insights, compare approaches across industries and discuss the challenges of turning AI into sustainable business value.

Join us at the European House in Tokyo on September 30 for an insightful symposium, followed by a networking session where you can connect with fellow members, speakers, and industry experts over a buffet and drinks.
