Timothy Langley
CEO & President of Tokyo-based public affairs consultancy Langley Esquire
Timothy has been working in Japanese politics for almost 40 years and knows the ins-and-outs of the Japanese Diet like no other foreigner. He was the first foreign national to work in the National Diet, served as a Policy Secretary to former Foreign Minister Nakayama Taro, and often acts as political attaché for U.S. Presidents and diplomats when they visit Japan. He has also served as General Counsel and Director of Public Policy for Apple Computer Japan and at General Motors Asia-Pacific. His public affairs and government relations consultancy Langley Esquire helps businesses to navigate the challenging Japanese regulatory landscape and negotiate better outcomes with the Japanese government.
