About the speakers
Masa Ito
Masa launched his first company, Yappa, at just 17 years old. In 2014, 2014, he joined ZOZO Group through M&A, later serving as CEO of ZOZO Technologies and as a Board Member and COO of ZOZO, where he led innovations like ZOZOSUIT and ZOZOMAT. In 2021, driven by a vision to enhance Japan’s energy self-sufficiency through renewable energy expansion, Masa co-founded PowerX as its CEO. PowerX develops advanced, vertically-integrated Battery Energy Storage Systems to stabilize renewable energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. The company is also pioneering the Battery Tanker, a groundbreaking solution for transporting clean energy across oceans.
Bruno Gaussorgues
Bruno joined Societe Generale in 2010 as Market Risk Assessor.
In 2012 Bruno became Co-Head (until 2015) and then Head ofRisk on Capital Market activities.
In September 2021, Bruno was appointed as Representative Director and Group Country Head of Societe General Securities Japan Limited and he was appointed as Branch Manager and Group Country Head of Societe General, Tokyo Branch in December.
Before joining Societe Generale, Bruno was Global Head of Market Risk for Natixis, Global Risk Manager for Gaselys (Gazde France), and held several senior positions in market risk on
Capital Market activities in Paris and London for Credit Lyonnais and Credit Agricole.
Riho Atsuta
Originally from Fukuoka, she moved to Tokyo after graduating and has been working in corporate sales at UPDATER since 2022. Driven by a passion for sustainability, she is committed to creating financial systems that promote social change, particularly in the area of climate action.
During university, she was actively involved in nuclear disarmament initiatives and participated in the NPT Review Conference. In 2023, she attended COP28 as a delegation member of the Japan Climate Leaders’ Partnership (JCLP).
Currently, she supports businesses in adopting renewable energy and sustainability solutions.
