Our 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) is around the corner and all members, voting members and non-voting members alike, are cordially invited to join the AGM on June 21st 2023 at the Trust City Conference Kamiyacho. While we encourage all members to participate onsite, attending online via Zoom is possible as well.

Voting Process
The voting process will be conducted according to the election rules as adopted by the Board of Directors and published in the homepage of AHK Japan here:

Voting will be conducted through an online tool in a direct, free, equal, and secret manner with the voting process being the same for both onsite and online participating eligible voters. Eligible voters will receive their individual online voting access via email shortly prior to the AGM.
Resolution Matters
At this year’s AGM there are three resolution matters on the agenda:
1. Approval of Amendment of Articles of Association of AHK Japan

2. Election of Auditors
The following two positions have to be filled.
- Markus Froese (term ends)
- Hans-Peter Musahl (term ends)
The following candidates are standing for election:

3. Election of Members of the Board of Directors
The following eight positions have to be filled.
- Jörg Heil (term ends)
- Hiroki Ishida (term ends)
- Klaus Meder (term ends)
- Dr. Masahiko Mori (term ends)
- Akiko Tomita (term ends)
- Petra Pöschl (co-opted for Mr. Wiedmann, who left Japan)
- Dr. Volker Jacobsen (left Japan)
- Takeshi Fujiwara (retired)
The following candidates are standing for election:

- Jörg Heil | Vice President & Representative Director, Correns Corporation

- Dr. Martin Tonko | Managing Director & Partner, Boston Consulting Group
Additional resolution matters can be brought up at the Annual General Meeting in accordance with §13, 5 of the Articles of Association (2022).
Eligible voters who cannot attend are free to assign a proxy in accordance with §8, 3 of the Articles of Association (2022) to vote on their behalf.
Standing for Elections
As previously announced (newsletter, mail), all AHK Japan ordinary members are called to stand for election for AHK Japan’s Board of Directors or Auditors or to nominate suitable candidates among their fellow ordinary members.
In case you are interested in introducing a candidate, you are interested in nominating yourself or you would like to submit agenda points or resolution matters, please get in contact to confirm eligibility and further requirements.
