At this executive insight event, participants will enjoy a panel discussion focusing on the merits and value of a gender diverse workforce and teams as a strategy to boost a company’s innovative strength, but also to position one’s own company as attractive employers to people in all stages of their lives and careers.
In Japan in particular, it remains a challenge to ensure that women have a stable position and improving their status in the corporate world, with approximately 40% of working women in non-regular employment and receiving relatively low salaries accordingly. In this discussion, we will invite both Japanese and German management perspectives on what measures are needed from government, companies and employees to change this situation and create an environment that supports women advancing into leadership positions.
Our panelists will shed light on the challenges companies and team leaders face when thriving for a gender-diverse team and will share their insights into and own experiences on which strategies bear fruits and which ones do not.
The panel discussion and subsequent Q&A session will be facilitated by questions and challenges prepared and identified by AHK Japan Diversity Working Group as well as AHK Japan Diversity in the Workplace-Survey (publishing date is end of May).
Lunch will be served at the event.
