This time, the HR Working Group will focus on strategies for successful hiring in Japan and positioning German companies as attractive employers. As Prime Minister Kishida lately stressed, Japan is continuing to drift even more rapidly into demographically alarming circumstances. For Japan as a business location and especially so for international businesses, this means that competition for good talent and workforce will tighten further and eventually hamper businesses in the worst case.
AHK Japan’s recently published Business Climate Survey 2023 underscores this concern with a vast majority of 84% of surveyed companies identifying hiring in Japan as their main challenge in the Japanese market. At the roundtable session participants will be encouraged to share their pain points as well as best practices, ideas and suggestions when it comes to hiring in Japan and positioning one’s own company and industry as attractive employers.
