Towards Gender Equality and Women Empowerment: Insights from the GEAC 2023 Report

This event is organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan and supported by AHK Japan.

The Gender Equality Advisory Council (GEAC) released its Recommendations in December 2023 during the G7 Hiroshima Summit Follow-up at the United Nations University Headquarters. The report outlines concrete measures for gender mainstreaming in 'economic empowerment,' 'education,' 'peacebuilding,' and 'data,' sharing best practices and actionable solutions. During this seminar, we will explore key insights, focusing on the recommendations to address gender gaps in these areas. Objective is to learn about the latest framework conditions and recommendations and to promote the leadership role and commitment of women.

Speaker at the event will be Samia Jamai, a diversity and inclusion consultant with a background in marketing strategy and employee experience. Her Ph.D. research explores the influence of sustainable development initiatives on women's career advancement, aiming to provide guidance on promoting gender equality, shifting mentalities, and supporting women's career development.
