To increase the number of Japanese visitors and strengthen the German economy, the German National Tourist Office was founded in 1974 in Japan. It organizes seminars for travel agents to present attractive products of Germany as a vacation destination. For travelers, it provides a wide range of tourist information through brochures and the website. It supports German travel agents by providing Japanese market information and attractive products for Japanese travelers.
