Hapag-Lloyd Japan has a long history; the liner service started in 1886 via Hong Kong.
In 1971, with the early years of containerization, Hapag-Lloyd as german Carrier, as well as British and Japanese shipping companies formed an alliance called TRIO-group, and started a Far East/Europe service.
Today, we are one of principal members of THE Alliance, offering high quality container transportation from Japan to Europe, North America, Central and South America and Asia.
A global transportation network is offered with a fleet of modern, environment-friendly containerships providing reliable weekly services. The company also offers state of the art Information Technology solutions which provide high-quality service to meet customers' requirements.
