We would like to invite you to our upcoming EBC Automotive Components Committee x AHK Japan session on "Accelerate Sustainability: Harnessing reusable materials and digital innovation to shift gears toward a carbon‐neutral future" on March 18th, 2025 from 16:45 (door open:16:30)-19:30 JST. Join us at SAP Japan for an engaging session that puts automotive sustainability in the fast lane. Accelerate Sustainability: BMW & SAP Leading the Charge brings together insights from BMW and SAP to explore how the drive toward carbon neutrality is reshaping the industry — from BMW’s journey in increasing reusable materials to SAP’s pioneering software solutions through the CATENA-X initiative.
The event kicks off with two impulse presentations:
Lutz Rothhardt, Director Development (BMW Corp. Japan) will share insights on BMW’s strategic approach to integrating sustainable materials and reducing carbon footprints.
Markus Kraemer, Co-Lead of the Catena-X Internationalization Expert Teams for Japan and Korea (SAP Corp. Japan) and a Japanese speaker from the automotive realm will dive into how digital innovation and the CATENA-X initiative are enabling a new era of traceability and efficiency in automotive manufacturing.
Following the presentations, we transition into an interactive panel discussion featuring Lutz, Markus, and another guest from the automotive realm, who brings a unique perspective from Japan. The panel discussion will provide an open forum to delve deeper into the topics and explore collaborative opportunities. To cap off the evening, a catered networking buffet will be served, offering the perfect setting to connect, share ideas, and drive forward the conversation on sustainability and digital transformation in the automotive sector.
