The importance of international cooperation with partners that share the same values and beliefs is gaining momentum. The challenges that Germany and Japan are facing geopolitically have brought both sides to further intensify their cooperation in the field of security and defense. The German-Japanese Defense and Security Technology Forum offers a platform for exchange for representatives from the Japanese and German defense and security industry. The Forum will provide the opportunity to see company presentations and to speak to industry representatives that showcase their products. In total more than 25 companies and relevant associations, as well as the Defense Equipment Agency will participate. All relevant dimensions, such as ground, maritime, cyber, air and space are covered.
The first day of the Forum will feature keynote speeches by relevant Japanese and German ministries. The second day foresees further presentations and a panel discussion with the aim to share ideas and opinions about the future direction of German-Japanese security and defense cooperation.
We look forward to welcoming all interested and relevant parties to this year’s forum.
