The Business Roundtable brings together German and Japanese companies, public-sector stakeholders, research institutions, and industry experts in the field of bioenergy to exchange practical insights and discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation. The event will focus on current developments in the Japanese and German bioenergy sectors, including policy frameworks, financing opportunities, waste-to-energy solutions, regional energy systems, and the role of bioenergy in decarbonization and rural development.
The roundtable aims to strengthen dialogue between stakeholders from industry, government, and academia while encouraging concrete project cooperation and business exchange between Japan and Germany. Through expert presentations, company inputs, and interactive discussions, participants will gain insights into market trends, technological developments, and potential areas for future collaboration.
The event will conclude with a networking reception, providing participants with the opportunity to establish new contacts and continue discussions in an informal setting.
Held within the framework of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) German Energy Solutions Initiative, the Business Roundtable is part of a business delegation of German SMEs visiting Japan from June 22 to 26, 2026. The event will take place in Tokyo on June 22, 2026.
