Export Promotion Projects

We support businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, in realising their export ambitions to Japan through various measures, programmes and initiatives promoted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

Energy Export Initiative

The BMWK's energy export initiative helps companies find new overseas markets with the goal of raising the profile of German energy technologies.

In recent years, we have specialised particularly in bioenergy and energy efficient buildings. We review the strategy annually based on the current political and economic developments of the Japanese market.

BMWK Market Entry Programme

The BMWK promotes numerous industries as part of its market entry programme. Through close cooperation with professional associations based in Germany, relevant sectors for export measures are identified.

In recent years, our agenda has covered advanced technical sectors (such as decommissioning nuclear reactors), highly topical themes (such as "Industrie 4.0") and strongly consumer-oriented industries such as cosmetics.
