There is a Japanese proverb, “Ebi de tai o tsuru”—using a small investment to catch a big result. Few business activities embody this better than a well‑executed trade show strategy.

This session is designed for German companies aiming to accelerate growth in Japan by approaching trade show participation more strategically. Japan remains one of the world’s most sophisticated and opportunity-rich markets, but meaningful results require more than simply exhibiting—they demand preparation, market insight, and disciplined follow‑through.

We will begin with an overview of Japan’s exhibition landscape and the role of RX Japan in connecting global companies with key industry decision-makers.
Participants will gain practical guidance on how to maximize trade show ROI, including:

  • Preparation and positioning strategies
  • Key cultural and commercial factors affecting deal progression
  • Techniques to increase visibility and engage high‑value prospects
  • Approaches to measuring ROI beyond on‑site lead counts

Additionally, representatives from the German Embassy and AHK Japan will outline available support services, market entry assistance, and funding opportunities. The session concludes with a look at future collaboration to strengthen long-term partnerships between German exhibitors and the Japanese market.

Participants will leave equipped with the knowledge and tools needed for successful trade show participation across Japan.
