Implications of Germany’s Supply Chain Due Diligence Act
The keynote will provide a substantive overview of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz) including its legal implications for companies doing business in Japan and Germany. Additionally, the event will cover the European as well as the Japanese perspective and regulations on the topic. Subsequently participants will have the opportunity to exchange best practices, hurdles and challenges on the topic and ask questions.
The keynote will inter alias include:
- Background on the origin and structure of the act
- Legal requirements, practical implications and sanctions resulting from the act
- The European perspective and stance on the topic of due diligence and supply chains
- The Japanese perspective and stance on the topic of due diligence and supply chains
All participants are most welcome to share their thoughts and questions during the subsequent Q&A session as well as to submit their questions beforehand through the registration form.
