The German-Japanese business community came together at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo on December 10 to entertain friends, guests and colleagues while contributing to a good cause: All proceeds of this event will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) and its training and education of first responders in the case of (natural) disasters in Japan.
Over 200 guests enjoyed a relaxed evening in festive atmosphere at the first Charity Christmas Dinner of AHK Japan. Red, white and sparkling wines of the German vineyard 'Dreissigacker' from the Rheinhessen region accompanied the traditional German Christmas menu created by the German nationality Executive Chef of the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, Mr. Andreas Fuchs.
Over 1.5 million yen were raised at the silent auction alone and we will let you know about the final donation amount in one of our upcoming Member Newsletters.
