Unleashing Japan's offshore wind potential to reach new heights
Although Japan was the first country to build offshore wind project in the region, only 136 MW of offshore wind has been installed by 2022. This panel will feature representatives of offshore wind development in Japan and discuss challenges and opportunities in projects.
- RWE,which was the only foreign company which won 684MW of wind power in a consortium with a Japanese partner for three projects in the second round in Japan.
- Marubeni Offshore Wind Development. which was established to develop offshore wind projects, including the Akita Noshiro Offshore Wind Project, Japan's first large-scale offshore wind project.
