Managing a Remote Workforce - Best Legal Practices and Pitfalls to avoid
With numbers of infections on the rise again in Japan, there is uncertainty whether an emergency status will be re-implemented in certain prefectures. It appears that such uncertainty is here to stay for a longer period than expected and many companies have already chosen to continue teleworking in one way or another. While the initial approach towards remote work was very “hands-on” and adopted in crisis mode, a longer-term remote work strategy asks for a more structured and well thought out model to maintain a smooth operation and avoid common legal pitfalls.
The webinar will discuss various legal questions related to a remote work strategy, including the below:
- how to set up and what to include into remote work policies
- how to manage those employees returning to (office) work
- new health and safety recommendations for the workplace
- questions related to expenses, e.g. commuting allowance, utility expenses in case of remote work
- e-signing of legal documents, digital hanko
