Kentaro Koyama

Chief Economist at Deutsche Securities Inc.

Kentaro Koyama is a Chief Economist in the Japan Economics team based in Tokyo. He joined Deutsche Securities Inc. in September 2013. Previously, he was an economist at the Bank of Japan (Financial Markets Department, Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies), and then engaged in business strategy and asset management consulting at an American consultancy. He received the Forecast Accuracy Award from Consensus Economics in 2014 and 2019. Kentaro graduated from Kyoto University’s Faculty of Engineering, has a master's degree from University of Tokyo Graduate School of Economics, and carried out doctoral studies in economics at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Aoyama Gakuin University.
