As advanced industrialized countries, Japan and Germany face similar challenges in making a successful energy transition. In light of this, adelphi and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan have been organizing events and workshops on various energy issues on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection in order to promote continuous exchange on energy policy and innovative technologies in Germany and Japan.

This year, the German-Japanese Energy Partnership's working group on Hydrogen will exchange information on the development of shipping, infrastructure and ports focusing on the global hydrogen supply chain. On the occasion of the Tokyo GX Week Hydrogen Ministerial Conference, the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action will visit Japan. Therefore, the German-Japanese Energy Partnership is organizing a workshop with experts in hydrogen shipping and port infrastructure from both countries. For more information, please refer to the program below.
