Accounting, Qualified Invoices and ERP Software in the light of the Japanese Tax Reform

 

The Finance Roundtable 2022 Volume 2 will focus on accounting, qualified invoices and ERP software in the light of the Japanese tax reform. The roundtable will inter alias touch upon the following topics:

  • Accounting and ERP Software for foreign owned businesses operating in Japan: Presenting an overview of the major international and Japanese accounting software solutions and their main features
  • Tax Reform Refresh (1): The electronic preservation of ‘Electronic Transactions’ will finally become mandatory from January 2024 - A recap of minimum requirements and latest tips for how to comply
  • Tax Reform Refresh (2): The new Qualified Invoice System will be introduced from 1 October 2023. What companies need to watch out for when registering as ‘Qualified Invoice Issuer’ and when issuing “Qualified Invoices”
  • e-Invoicing: A new (non-mandatory) business standard is evolving – expected to be available from 1 October 2023: Who are the standard setting parties, what does PEPPOL and JP PINT mean, and what are the main features of the e-Invoicing standards

We encourage every participant to share their stories, perceptions and experiences on the topic. The subsequent open Q&A session provides room for further discussion and exchange. The overall aim is to learn from best practices, share expertise and the exchange with fellow members.
