In the German-Japanese Bioenergy Symposium, guest speakers from both countries as well as eight German bioenergy companies will share their experience and know how on specific topics found in the program below. The goal is to promote economic exchange between Japanese and German companies in the field of bioenergy. This event is organized in the framework of the German Energy Solutions Initiative, coordinated and financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

Agraferm is a German technology supplier for anaerobic digestion of liquid, solid or fibrous wastes, by-products and organic wastes. We are process experts and awarded “Best Practice” by the Government's Biogas Monitoring Program. We built Europe's largest biogas plant processing over 300,000 t/a of input and providing 35 MW for both, power and Bio-CNG / biomethane production. Our clients belong to fuel or power industry, agro- and food industry or just profitably thinking investors. Agraferm's branch BTA International provides hydro-mechanical pre-treatment and wet-digestion of wastes – the recognized BTA process ®. Together, the group installed more than 150 references worldwide.
BINDERGROUP designs and manufactures equipment and systems for gas flow measurement, gas pressure and temperature control, biogas and syngas analysis, as well as aeration control for biological purification in wastewater treatment plants (WWTP). Our corporate slogan, “BETTER CONTROL. BETTER ENVIRONMENT.“ underlines the use of all our products to conserve investment assets, improve processes safety and efficiency, and protect the environment while offering our customers the highest economic and performance value.
The core competence of the GRENOL group of companies is in the field of HTC technology (hydrothermal carbonization). With this process, biomass of any kind is converted within a few hours (approx. 3-12 h) to humus, lignite and hard coal as well as nutrient water. Thus, the biomass can be converted into thermal and electrical energy, as well as fertilizer. Recently also into "green" hydrogen (H2).
For more than 30 years, we have reliably proven our performance as a partner and supplier to our clients. To ensure the quality of our successful work, competence and diligence are our top priorities. Hence, quality-tested products and profile-specific customer advice are equally among our strengths. We are only satisfied with our services when our partners and customers are so too. Our offerings include modern, highly effective products for binding hydrogen sulfide in biogas plants, landfills and industrial gases, as well as binding arsenic, phosphates and heavy metals from water, which are of very high quality. Polymeric flocculants for use in water and sludge treatment as well as processes for odor control in sewage networks complete the range of products and services. Throughout the product implementation process, we support our customers with expert advice and results-oriented service, also on site. LiPP is a family-owned business specializing in manufacturing steel tanks. In the past 60 years, Lipp has carried out projects worldwide. LiPP invented his own production technology called the LiPP double seam system and the LiPP welding technique as well as the composite material VERINOX, which combines the advantages of stainless steel with the cost advantage of galvanized steel. Our tanks are used for different types of applications such as biogas, wastewater, thermal storage tanks for district heating, biomass storage like wood chips and pellets, etc. We want to continue to concentrate on our core competencies, on what we can do, in which we are unique and have decades of experience: on tank construction for industry, municipalities and agriculture.
Weber Entec GmbH & Co. KG is the market leader in the disintegration of biomass through ultrasound, with over 100 installations worldwide. The advantages for operators of biogas plants are above all the improved fermentation, in particular feeding difficult substrates, with an increase of the biogas yield and / or saving of the substrate. Additional income or savings of 8 to 15% are achieved. In addition reducing viscosity helps optimize plant operation. Weber Entec supplies turnkey ultrasonic disintegration systems, advises and supports its customers during the planning and operation of the plants.
The WELTEC Group from Vechta, Germany, has developed into a globally leading specialist for the construction and operation of biogas and biomethane plants since 2001. The establishment of individual, technically mature solutions up to a plant size of 10 MW is one of the strengths of WELTEC. The high proportion of custom-developed components is a key success factor. The biogas specialist is well aware of the importance of customer proximity. Accordingly, the Group's sales and service network spans the entire globe. The range of customers includes businesses from industries such as agriculture, food, waste and wastewater. So far, the 120 employees of the WELTEC Group have implemented more than 350 energy plants in 25 countries on five continents. These plants save about 485.000 tons of CO2eq a year.
2G Energy AG is one of the leading manufacturers of combined heat and power plants (CHP) for the decentralised generation of electricity and heat using CHP technology. The 2G range includes CHP systems with an electrical output between 80 kW and 2,500 kW for operation with biogas, sewage gas and other lean gases as well as biomethane and hydrogen. To date, 2G has successfully installed several thousand CHP plants in 55 countries. 2G installed the first CHP system in Japan in 2004 and has since supplied around 200x CHP Systems to the Japanese market. These are being supported by local Japanese companies with a +10 years business relationship. |
