By many regarded as the biggest step in the history of data protection, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been finally in force since 25 May 2018. Designed to strengthen the rights of data subjects and with its broad international territorial scope, the GDPR is creating challenges for companies worldwide.
