German Offshore Forum in Kitakyushu

The aim of the three-year initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is to support German companies in the offshore wind energy sector in their export business to three of the most attractive, dynamically growing markets – Japan, Taiwan and the United States. It consists of three measures: an in-depth export market analysis, the organization of networking and sector events on site, and local support within each target market through GOI representatives in all three markets.

There are a large number of German players who are highly interested in the Japanese offshore wind market, including major equipment manufacturers, power producers and companies providing engineering and consulting services. They also well know that networking and collaboration with local companies is important in the Japanese offshore wind industry.

Wind Energy market currently sees modularization trend. Wind turbines are growing in size, reaching the limit of transportation and need to be modularized. Ongoing product specialization requires units manufactured in different places to be gathered and assembled onsite. We will introduce the blade control system at the offshore event in Kitakyushu. The blade control system monitors the condition of the blade during 24 hours, 365days, and promptly reports any abnormality to the clients.
