The Japanese Government parties (the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito) agreed on the “Outline of 2025 Tax Reform Proposals” (Proposal) on 20 December 2024. The Proposal is a written document of ideas for future tax system reforms. Bills for tax reform will be submitted to the Diet based on this Proposal. The Proposal is announced every December which gives us a rough idea about the corporate (and individual) tax reforms expected in the following year and subsequently after that.

Manjul Agrawal and Atsunori Tsujimura from HLS Global Co., Ltd. will present an outline of this proposal which will potentially have an impact on the German companies and individuals having a business and/or residence in Japan. In addition, they will also give an overview of the individual income taxation system in Japan, which would be helpful to understand your tax implications based on this tax reform proposal.

After the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A Session. The event will conclude with a networking session for participants to mingle and network. Join us for an insightful seminar for foreign companies already operating or looking to establish a taxable business in Japan.
