Industrie 4.0 – Digitalization & Automation

HOSTED BY:

  • Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology
  • BAYERN INTERNATIONAL
  • VDMA Bayern

New business models, technologies, and the rapid pace of digital development are placing high demands on both Japan and Germany, demanding constant innovation and adaptability. The Free State of Bavaria here holds a leading position with the ambitious goal of becoming the top market for Industrie 4.0. Prominent examples of Industrie 4.0 in Bavaria are Siemens with one of the world's most modern production facilities in Amberg, numerous medium-sized "hidden champions" with solutions for digitized automation, such as KUKA or Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH.

In the context of the BayernForum in Japan 2018, we invite you to learn more about current German Industrie 4.0 trends, and to exchange ideas with representatives of German SMEs from Bavaria, political stakeholders and hidden champions during a symposium on November 7 in Tokio. There will be a great variety of presentations, including topics related to the approach of German companies to Industrie 4.0, smart products and data driven solutions. Furthermore, the participating Bavarian companies will be exhibiting their products and technology solutions at a designated area during the event.

Please see the attached program for further information. We look forward to seeing you on the 7th of November!
